Nique, a native Californian, moved to San Diego from the Bay area. She brings a wealth of experience in working with the non-profit community. Most recently, she served two consecutive terms as Board President of the Santaluz Community Council, an organization that sponsors activities, events, and clubs intended to foster community among the residents. Through Helen Woodward Animal Shelter, she has volunteered for several years in their Pet Therapy Program.

Prior to retirement, Nique worked for over 30 years in Human Resources for several start-up corporations. She also volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind in the Bay area and has been an avid gardener since childhood. She and her husband of 50 years, Jan, have spent the past 18 years living in Santaluz.
